About Dr. Rita Patil

Dr. Rita Patil holds a PhD in Nutrition, with her research focusing on obesity and physical fitness among children aged 6–9 years. She has built an extensive career in teaching, academic leadership, research, student mentoring, and professional nutrition practice.

For her dedication to education, she has been honored with the “Teachers Day Award” by IHM, Pune, and has also been felicitated by her institution for her outstanding contribution to Research and Education.

Known for her innovative and passionate approach to teaching, Dr. Patil encourages students to participate in competitions, research activities, internships, and practical learning experiences. She has also organized numerous talks, workshops, symposia, and seminars, creating opportunities for students to interact with eminent professionals.

Dr. Patil's academic and research interests have included nutrition, obesity, physical fitness, health education, and child health.

She also operates her personal diet counselling clinic, Nutrition for U, where she provides nutrition counselling and guidance. She additionally provides diet counselling to students.
